An island identity with international reach

.LC is the country code of Saint Lucia, a sovereign island nation in the West Indies, in the Eastern Caribbean where the Caribbean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean. Its capital, Castries, is a popular cruise port.

Volcanic beaches, reef-diving sites, luxury resorts and fishing villages line the coast. Inland rainforest trails lead to waterfalls, including the 15-metre Toraille waterfall, which falls from a cliff into a garden.

Name format

For registrations through GlobalR, use 2–63 characters: Latin letters, digits 0–9 and hyphens. Uppercase and lowercase are treated alike. A name must not begin or end with a hyphen.

Reserved names

Certain names are reserved and may be registered only under special conditions. Check the registry’s published reserved-name policy before placing an order.

Payment & activation

Registration is instant once payment is complete and all requested documents, including payment confirmation, have been received.

Read NIC.LC rules and reserved-name policies ↗

Information needed for your application

Submit complete, accurate registrant information and name servers. Default name servers may also be used.

Registrant

  • Organisation name, if registering for a company
  • First name and last name
  • Legal address, country, city and ZIP / postal code

Contact & DNS

  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Name servers, or the default servers

If the registrar or registrant provides incomplete information, the registry may request the missing data. If it is not supplied within 7 working days, the registry may suspend the domain.

WHOIS privacy by request

If the owner does not want contact information displayed publicly, private WHOIS registration can be requested under the applicable GDPR-related privacy arrangements. Email info@globalr.com with your special request.

Transfer .LC with a clear approval process

Ask the current registrar for the EPP authorisation code and provide it to GlobalR. Allow 7 working days for completion; the owner can manage the domain with the gaining registrar after the transfer is finalised.

  1. Check eligibility

The domain must be active and unlocked, and registered for more than 60 days. Domains that are inactive, being deleted or in redemption cannot be transferred.

  2. Supply the EPP code

Request the code from the losing registrar and submit it to the gaining registrar to initiate the transfer.

  3. Complete approvals

Both the losing registrar and administrative contact must approve. An explicit refusal from either party causes the transfer to be denied.

If no response arrives

After one week, silence from the losing registrar is treated as approval. Silence from the administrative contact during that week results in refusal.

Recent domain activity

A request is refused if the domain was registered, transferred or refused a transfer less than two months ago.

When the process ends

Once approval, refusal or timeout finalises the process, all three parties receive an email notification.

Become a .LC reseller

NIC.LC operates the official .LC registry. A registry maintains administrative domain data, controls allocation policies and generates the DNS zone file with each domain’s name servers. Registration may be handled directly or delegated to registrars.

GlobalR works directly with Afilias to provide .LC domain registry services. Our gateway lets you offer these domains at competitive prices without building your own registry integration or completing a separate lengthy accreditation and testing process. Our experienced team supports you from setup to daily domain management.
