What is WHOIS?
WHOIS is a searchable listing of registered domain names. A typical record can include registrant contact details, creation and expiration dates, and other registration information.
What is WHOIS Privacy?
WHOIS Privacy is a GlobalR service that replaces the registrant’s personal contact information in the public WHOIS listing with an anonymous proxy identity, including a proxy email at private@globalr.com.
Does WHOIS Privacy mean I no longer own the domain?
No. The domain still belongs to the registrant. You can cancel, sell or renew it, control website content, set name servers, and update the underlying domain contact information.
How can people still contact the domain owner?
GlobalR forwards phone messages, faxes and email sent to the proxy identity to the domain owner by email.
How much does WHOIS Privacy cost?
The cost for this service is $15 per year, per domain.
