Before you submit a registration

Use Latin letters, digits 0–9 and hyphens in the name before the extension. Uppercase and lowercase letters are treated the same.
Start and end correctly
A name cannot begin or end with a hyphen. Check availability for the exact extension your customer chooses.
Reserved names
Certain names have special registration conditions. The registry publishes the reserved-name list and the conditions for those registrations.

Transfers use an EPP authorization code and take 7 working days to complete. The owner can manage the domain after completion.
Get the EPP code
Request the code from the losing registrar and provide it to the gaining registrar.
Approve the request
Both the losing registrar and administrative contact must approve. A refusal by either party rejects the transfer.
Receive the outcome
When approval, refusal or timeout ends the process, all three parties receive notification by letter.
One-week response window
No response from the losing registrar within one week is treated as approval. No response from the administrative contact within that week results in refusal.
Eligibility before transfer
The domain must be active and unlocked, outside deletion or redemption. It must have been registered for more than 60 days. Requests within two months of a registration, previous transfer or refused transfer are rejected.
