.AM is the country-code top-level domain for Armenia, a country in the Caucasus bordering Georgia, Iran, Turkey and Azerbaijan. Armenian is its official language. The extension gives local and international companies a clear identity when serving the Armenian market.
Individuals and businesses worldwide can apply for a .AM domain. A registrant’s existing domain portfolio does not determine availability: each new name is checked separately, with registration on a first-come, first-served basis, except for reserved or restricted names.
Alongside .AM, offer customers registrations under these supported second-level domains. Check the price and availability of each extension in your account.
Use 1–63 characters before .AM: Latin letters, digits and hyphens. Begin and end with a letter or digit. Two consecutive hyphens are not allowed.
Registration terms run from 1 to 10 years. Allow up to three business days after payment and a valid application.
Orders are subject to availability, reserved-name restrictions and registry policy. Every application field must contain meaningful, accurate information.
Prepare accurate registrant information before submitting an order. Administrative, technical and billing contacts may be the registrant or authorized contacts.
Replace public registrant contact details with GlobalR proxy information, including private@globalr.com. Accurate underlying customer information must still be supplied to the registrar and registry.
Offer domain parking for names that are not yet connected to a website. Check service availability and conditions in your partner account.
Request an attempt to register an expiring domain when it becomes available. Requests are handled on a first-come, first-served basis under the applicable service terms. A backorder does not guarantee acquisition.
Bring eligible customer domains into your GlobalR portfolio with a free transfer service. Confirm the administrative email, domain status and authorization before you submit the request.
Ask the customer to request the domain’s authentication code from the current registrar. The code is sent to the administrative email and must be passed to the gaining registrar.
Send the request through GlobalR. Confirmation messages go to the losing registrar and administrative contact, with links to approve, refuse or review the transfer. The gaining registrar receives a status message.
The transfer completes when both required parties approve. A refusal from either party rejects the transfer. All three parties are notified when the process ends.
Under this workflow, the response window is one week. No response from the losing registrar is treated as approval; no response from the administrative contact causes refusal.
The domain must be active and unlocked, outside deletion or redemption. Allow at least 60 days after registration and check the two-month restriction following a transfer or refused transfer. A registry lock prevents new transfer requests.
Review the current registry status and transfer instructions in your account before ordering; registry rules and eligibility determine whether a request can proceed.
Start a transferFor an owner change, collect the current owner’s signed application and the new owner’s signed registration agreement or application. Use the form supplied in the registrar control panel. Legal entities must provide an authorized signature and seal where applicable; individuals may need to provide an ID card or passport scan through the required verification workflow.
An owner change before expiry is treated as a new registration and requires an annual registration payment. Review the new registration date and cost with your customer before submitting documents.
Beyond an Armenian business address, .AM can suggest AM radio, America, Amsterdam or a memorable word ending in “am”. Present these as branding ideas while keeping Armenia as the extension’s official country designation.
ISOC AM · AMNIC · GLOBALR

AMNICIndividuals and legal entities from any location can apply. Collect accurate registrant and contact data and follow the registry’s naming and eligibility rules.
Registration starts from $16 per year under the applicable GlobalR reseller tariff. Check renewal, owner-change and optional-service prices separately in your account.

The transfer service for domains entering the GlobalR portfolio is free. The domain must meet registry eligibility and authorization requirements.
Backorder service starts from $99 per domain. A backorder is an attempt to register a name when it becomes available; successful acquisition is not guaranteed. Contact info@globalr.com for terms.
