.JE ccTLD

.JE is the country code top-level domain for the crown dependency of Jersey.

Jersey is the largest of the Channel Islands, between England and France. A self-governing dependency of the United Kingdom, with a mix of British and French cultures, it’s known for its beaches, cliffside walking trails, inland valleys and historic castles. 

In 2003, a Google Search website was made available for Jersey, which uses the .je domain.

Mandatory Requirements for .JE Domain Names

• The Domain Name may only contain numbers (0-9), dashes and Latin letters, and its combination,
• The Domain Name with capital and lowercase letters are not differentiated between;
• The Domain Name shall not start and end with a dash;
• The minimum number of symbols for Domain Name is 2 (two) and maximum- 63 (sixty-three).
• Other special characters, spaces or stressed vowels (such as à, é, ò, í) are not permitted.

.JE Domain activation

The domain name can be activated when the payment is complete and we have all the requested documents (including the payment confirmation). The domain registration time frame for .je during general availability is 1 Day. The .je domain can be registered by companies and individuals.

.je domain names are available for 1-2 years.

Certain domains are reserved by the registry and can only be registered as Domain Names under special conditions.

Notice: If the Registrar or Registrant submits incomplete information, Registry reserves its right to request from the Registrar to submit respective data. If the requested data is not provided, the Registry is authorized to suspend functioning of the Domain Name.

Private Whois Registration

.je WHOIS service allows some information to be disclosed about domain names that have been registered. There will be published abbreviated information on the internet. This information includes the identity of the registrant and full details of the registrar through whom the domain is registered.

Domain Transfer from registrar to registrar

The transfer process performs based on EPP code. The registrant should request the code from the losing registrar and provide the gaining one.

The transfer of the domain may take 7-10 working days.

Domain Renewal

If the Registrant via the intermediation does not renew the domain name, it will be Suspended during the 30 (thirty) days period from the expiry date of the domain name registration. After the lapse of the 30 (thirty) days period, the Registry is obliged to cancel domain name registration and delete data related to the domain name from the Domain Name Register. The domain will become available for everyone.
