Mandatory Requirements for .BE Domain Names

• The Domain Name may only contain numbers (0-9), dashes and Latin letters, and its combination,
• The Domain Name with capital and lowercase letters are not differentiated between;
• The Domain Name shall not start and end with a dash;
• The minimum number of symbols for Domain Name is 2 (two) and maximum- 63 (sixty-three).
• Other special characters, spaces or stressed vowels (such as à, é, ò, í) are not permitted.

.BE Domain activation

The domain name can be activated when the payment is complete and we have all the requested documents (including the payment confirmation). The domain registration time frame for .be during general availability is Instant. The .be domain can be registered by companies and individuals.

Notice! The .be registry actively monitors whois accuracy and abuse issues and expects you to keep a working email address and valid contact information. The registry may in their sole discretion send a request to the email address associated with your domain to verify whois contact information or abuse issues. You must respond to this inquiry. If you do not respond, or the email address you registered is invalid, the domain will be deleted with no refund to you.

Private Whois Registration

At present, the .be domain zone does not provide means to hide the information of the domain owner. All information (name, address, email, etc.) will be displayed in WHOIS.

Domain Transfer from registrar to registrar

The transfer process performs based on EPP code. The registrant should request the code from the losing registrar and provide the gaining one.

The transfer of the domain may take 7-10 working days.

Domain Renewal

If the Registrant via the intermediation does not renew the domain name, it will be Suspended during the 30 (thirty) days period from the expiry date of the domain name registration. After the lapse of the 30 (thirty) days period, the Registry is obliged to cancel domain name registration and delete data related to the domain name from the Domain Name Register. The domain will become available for everyone.
