Requirements for supported services.
For the .AM domain the Private Whois Registration, Transfer and Owner change services are available. So you can hide the registrant's personal data, transfer domains from one registrar to another and change owner before the domain expiration date.
Private Whois Registration
This service will replace the public information that you provide with an anonymous proxy identity in the public Whois database. This includes replacing registrant’s email address with a proxy private@globalr.com and replacing your address and contact information with the information from GlobalR.
AM ccTLD Inter-Registrar Transfer Procedure
GlobalR portfolio’s domain transfer is a free service, and is performed based on an authentication code, which is sent to the domain administrative email. So if You need to transfer the domain first of all your customer needs to apply to the domain’s current registrar and ask them to send the code of the domain. The code should be passed then to the gaining registrar.
After receiving a request from the gaining registrar, confirmation requests are generated and sent by a letter to the losing registrar and administrative contact of the domain name. Each message contains links to approve/refuse the transfer or check its current status. A separate message is sent to the gaining registrar that allows him to check the transfer status.
As soon as both losing registrar and administrative contact approve the transfer, it will be approved. If one of two denies the transfer it will be denied.
If no response is received from the losing registrar in one week it is assumed approved. If no response is received from the administrative contact in the same week the transfer will be refused.
As soon as the process finishes either by explicit approval/refusal or by timeout all three parties will be informed by a letter.
There is a choice to prevent possible transfer request(s) in advance by activating the domain lock flag. In that case the registry will not accept the request initially.
Any transfer request for a domain name that has been registered or transferred or refused to be transferred in less than two months will be refused.
Please note that in order to transfer a domain name the domain must be active. If, the domain is locked, inactive or in the process of being deleted or redeemed, then it doesn’t comply with transferring requirements.
A domain must also have been registered for more than 60 days before you are allowed to transfer registrars.
Owner Change
To change the domain's legal owner the registrar needs to provide the signed (in case of legal entities sealed and signed) and scanned document from the current owner. If the current owner is an individual the registrar needs to provide his/her ID card or passport scan.
On registrars dashboard there is an attached file which must be filled and should be sent to the current owner to sign (in case of legal entities to seal and sign for) and sent back with the requested documents.
NOTE: "Owner change" service before domain expiration date considered as a new registration and demands an annual payment.

The Domains within the .am ccTLD enjoy popularity due to the connection with AM radio (similar to the .fm and .tv ccTLDs), and the ability to form English words ending in "am" - e.g. the mobile photo sharing service Instagram uses the Armenian domain name “Instagr.am”.
American music artist and producer Will.I.Am uses the domain for his website.
Financial company J. P. Morgan also uses an .am domain to stand for "Assessment Management". Such unconventional usage of ccTLDs in domain names are called domain hacks.
